There is a particular kind of morning in Miami — humid light through the palms, coffee thick as memory — when the fashion world feels very far away and very close all at once. This week it arrived close. In Milan, under the vaulted glass of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where Prada first opened its doors in 1913, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons sent out a Spring/Summer 2027 collection built, almost defiantly, around the skirt — pleated in grey, cut clean in green, strewn with flower embellishments that clinked like small bells as the models moved. It was a show about reclaiming a garment so ordinary it had nearly gone invisible, and making it, once more, an act of femininity with an edge. Naomi Watts, Michelle Williams, and Uma Thurman watched from the front row as the house unveiled an eight-story expansion of that same storied Galleria flagship — a monument, in stone and glass, to the idea that heritage is not a museum piece but a living inheritance, renovated and worn forward. We understand that instinct here. A house is only as alive as its willingness to keep opening new rooms inside an old one.

Across the Atlantic, in Madrid, another story of inheritance unfolded. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid opened its September calendar with Agua by Agua Bendita, the Colombian house whose sun-washed prints and hand-finished textiles have made it one of Latin America's most recognized fashion voices — the third consecutive Colombian label, following Silvia Tcherassi and Johanna Ortiz, to open that runway. Presented through a new partnership with the Latin American Fashion Awards, the show was a reminder of something we have always believed: that the craftsmanship of our region does not wait for permission to stand at the center of the global stage. It builds its own stage, and the world comes to it.

And in San Juan, preparations are quietly underway for a diamond anniversary — the 75th Miss Universe pageant, crowning its queen this November at the storied Coliseo de Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico as host feels, this year, like poetry: an island of the Caribbean, kin to our own in language and salt air and stubborn beauty, standing as the world's stage for the idea that glamour and identity are never separate things.

Three cities, three testaments to the same truth: the most enduring fashion is the fashion that remembers where it comes from. That is the inheritance House of Yas was built on — a grandmother's hands, a Havana left behind but never stopped dressing for, a Miami that let us build anew without asking us to forget. We invite you to wear that inheritance. Discover the current collection at houseofyas.com.
